From NAS to MF Doom – it’s just a few years, folks. Serious health issues after turning NYC basements upside down searching for funk records. Notting Hill Record & Tape Exchange felt like heaven at some time. Mo’ Wax. Handful of 7inchs rescued out in the bush in rural St. Ann. Never meant to be a DJ. Fist fights with Japanese Northern Soul collectors knee deep in the water outside of New Orleans. Jay Dee changed my life. Rae & Christian meant the world at some time. Jah Shaka teaching lessons of Bass. Almost dead from alarm clock ringing for flee market action. Makin big money on Discogs selling shit records. Spending more money on effect units than food. Still searching for the perfect beat. Never met DJ Shadow but spend some time at the Black Ark. Wax Poetics. Been LOFI all my life in all aspects. Learnt a lot from Tim Westwood. Can beat making and entertaining play in the same league? Yes – they can.
